Pretty Petals

Coming to an End....

 

 Well Girls, our Marie Antoinette round robin is coming to an end. I am just finishing up the last 4 pages of Ginny's book, here are photos of 2 pages so far. The rest will come in a few days.

If you have been following our progress then you will know that we have been working on these books for almost a year! lol... but since they have literally traveled the entire globe I suppose that is ok huh? I am feeling a little bit sad as I work on these last pages for ginny's book, I am not sure why as I know all 4 of us are forever friends but I guess it is knowing that I seriously doubt I will work on a project of this magnitude again...  I mean we put our ALL into these books baby! We took the whole round robin concept and just stepped it up a notch. Nothing was too good for our friends and sometimes when I was choosing trims and flowers from my stash I would put certain ones back since they just weren't "good" enough. I just love that. 

I know for certain that I will always treasure my book and can just imagine one hundred years from now... if I am long gone and someone finds one of our books what an AMAZING thing that would be?

hey there!

Hi girls! is everyone enjoying the summertime?? I have been so super busy with all of these house projects that it feels as if summertime is just flying by. I need to get out and do more fun things with the kids next week...maybe go to the zoo or the wave pool or whatever because before we know it it will be back to school. My husband wants us all to go camping soon. Although I love the quiet of life while we are camping it is not exacly my favorite thing to go camping in a tent. I am SURE you girls can relate to this.  Hopefully they will have some antique shops wherever he makes us go! lol

I added the ribbons to my lamp today while cleaning.. looks pretty cute.. I have been adding these little ribbon bouquets to mirrors and jars all over the place. I did restock some of the hand dyed ribbons in my shop the other day and I see that some of you are finding them. I am dying some new sizes and few more colors so hopefully soon I will get those listed soon.

Sorted some of my vintage ruffled petticoats today... they look so pretty all gathered.  

and these hats are just SO cute. I bought them to use the flowers but I am having a hard time taking these apart. I don't think a girl can have TOO many hats!

SO I have decided this week to officially be a VENDOR for Silver Bella! I am just thrilled about it and I know that super fun weeked will be here before we know it. I have lots of goodies in mind already for my table and I just can't wait to shop shop shop too!! 

Well, I am off to get some orders packaged up and then to work on my round robin book but I wanted to just stop in and say hi! My Bedroom

 Hiya, I am finally finished with my bedroom makeover so I thought I would share some final photos. Of course, I keep playing around with things and moving them here and there but for the most part it is done. I am trying SO hard not to put a lot of "things" around the room but it is somthing I always have a hard time with. I LOVE my junk! lol I love this paint color... it is such a pretty shade of blue and toward the evening it has a slightly greenish tint.

Love my pillows...hubby doesn't like them so much because he is forever throwing them on the floor. lol

   I wanted to use the long mirror above my bed and really like it gold as it gives the room a bit of sophistication among the pink and blue. I used this great old mantle as a headboard. I was originally going to paint it white but I think I like it as is... we will see. I am searching for my dream bed ...but until I find it this will do. Here are some more pics..

Yesterday was my birthday and I wanted to say thank you to those of you that came over to wish me a happy day. Thank you to my sweet Mom.... and sweet Natasha for your birthday wishes and spreading the word, naughty girls! lol My husband took me to lunch today and we went to an antique shop... it was a nice day driving through the countryside. I am trying to finish this quick so that we can get to the fireworks. It is our community days this weekend and they always end them with fireworks so off I go... xo

Nothing Like a Fresh Coat of Paint

Hi! Remember I told you I have been painting??? well, not only did i paint my living room...but I painted my dining room....and now my bedroom! I am on a roll, seriously. I am trying to stay motivated because I need to paint my hallway and trim around my doors...and my kitchen and possibly my kitchen cabinets. It is making my mind spin just thinking about it. I am doing all of this WHILE my kiddos are home for the summer and we are super super busy. lol... it is always that way I guess. Feast or Famon.

So today I finished my bedroom and hung this super cute chippy rack up on the wall. So far this is the only thing hung up but I love it! The other side of the room has lots of piles of clothes so I can't show it to you yet... I am sorting them all. My closet is officially out of control and this husband of mine needs to pitch some things too. He has more clothes than me! 

I love this paint color soooo much. It is a gorgeous soft blue but sometimes throughout the day it takes on a slight greenish hue....LOVE...and wouldn't you know that the inspiration for this color came from a little birdie named Dawn.... she was showing us her friends booth WAY back in August of last year and I loved the color SO much. I guess she had a lot of people ask about it so she posted the code on her blog. Well, I wrote it down and just knew that I was going to love that color and sure enough...almost a whole year later..lol....It looks beautiful! Thank you Dawn for sharing that awesome color with us!

My Mom gave me this cute little dress a long time ago and I had it packed away. So happy I can display it now. Love the cute fluted ruffle.

And this gorgeous glitter heart is from sweet Madai~ wren cottage. I love how it has tarnished around the edges.

O.K. Back to sorting clothes.... my husband is telling me he wants to go to bed soon and I need to clear a path! It feels so GREAT to clean a closet... I have been having a LOT of stress lately and there is just nothing like cleaning a closet to make a girl feel great. lol
